Mr. W.R. "Dub" Skipper, age 77, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2018 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Lowery and Rev. James Hammock officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday morning from 10 a.m. til 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Skipper was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church and retired from Ocmulgee EMC. He was a retired minister serving many churches in both Dodge and Laurens counties. He was also a member of the Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved gardening and vacationing in the mountains.
Mr. Skipper is survived by his wife, Evelyn Taylor Skipper of Chauncey; son, David O. Skipper of Chauncey; daughter, Lisa Skipper of Eatonton; brothers, Darrell Skipper (Kay) and Ricky Skipper (Debbie) of Chauncey.
He is predeceased by his parents, Doris Smith Skipper and O.R. Skipper.
