Mr. Wayne Bond, age 77, of Eastman passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 in Savannah, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Trey Benton and Rev. Mike Grenade officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Wimberly officiating.
Mr. Bond was born February 25, 1947 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Hattie Bell Cannon and Elmer Bond. He was a member of New Union Baptist Church and retired from AT&T. Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to travel to the mountains and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Parkerson Bond; children, Sherry Freyer (Craig) and Scott Bond; grandchildren, Chloe Freyer and Gabe Freyer; sisters-in-law, Laney Bond and Renee Mullis; nephews, Darryl Bond, Mike Bond, TJ Mullis, Casey Mullis; great niece, Madison Mullis; great nephews, Wesley, Jacob, Eric, and Travis Bond; and a great-great niece, Rachel Bond.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Ionis Bond and brother, Billy Bond; in-laws, Marvin and Gladys Parkerson.
Pallbearers include Gabe Freyer, Darryl Bond, Mike Bond, TJ Mullis, Eric Bond, and Bill Park.
