Mrs. Vera Huff Lowery, age 94, of Eastman died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 7, 2014 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Lowery was born October 28, 1919 to the late Georgia Bell Underwood and Jim Huff. She was a member of the Eastman First Baptist Church and The Dorcas Sunday School Class where she was Outreach Leader. She was retired from College Street Pharmacy, an avid gardener, and a master member of the 4-H.
She is survived by a daughter, Sadie Wasden (Wesley); grandchildren, Penny Parkerson (Chuck), Lori Jones, Danny Lowery, Michael Lowery, and Candice Wasden; sister, Shirley Johns; brother, Charles Huff; seven great grandchildren.
She was predeased by her husband, Rufus Lowery and son, Bob Lowery.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions to The First Baptist Church Building Fund.
