Thomas Dudley West Sr.
Mr. Thomas Dudley West Sr., age 82, of Eastman died Monday, May 17, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Hardy-Towns Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 til 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the funeral home.
Mr. West was born February 10, 1939 in Dodge County, at home, to the late Thomas Watson West and the late Charlotte Cannon. He attended school in Rhine, Warner Robins, and Perry and graduated from Eastman High School in 1957, the last graduating class of Wildcats. He joined the Air Force and retired as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service. He returned to Eastman and took over ownership of Redding Mobile Homes, later Thomas West Mobile Homes. He enjoyed having his classmates over for coffee on Saturdays and tinkering in his shop.
He is survived by four children, Michael West (Kay) of Eastman, Susan Conley (Roy) of Eastman, Donna Harper (Vic) of Fitzgerald, and Thomas D. West Jr. (Mary Ann) of Haymarket, Va.; seven grandchildren, Doug Conley, April Gregg, Amie Pollock, Kayla Barnett, Brian Horne, Crystal Velasquez, and Joshua West; eight great grandchildren and two on the way.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Betty L. West, sister, Faye Brown, and nephew, Charles Brown.
