Mr. Jackson Jones, age 91, of Eastman died Monday, March 29, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31 at New Union Cemetery with Rev. Ron Whittington officiating.
Mr. Jones will lie in state Tuesday from 1:00 til 4:00p.m. at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born December 28, 1929 in Dodge County to the late Alice Burch and Andrew Jackson Jones. He served as Sheriff of Dodge County from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. He served as a deputy for many years prior to being Sheriff. He also enjoyed farming and racing.
He is survived by his son, Jay Jones (Laura); stepchildren, Donna Floyd and Ken Floyd (Gail); grandchildren, Ben Floyd and Bryan Glisson; and brother Frank Jones (Helen).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Juanita Glisson Jones.
