Mrs. Shirley T. Moore, age 82, of Eastman, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 5:00 pm with Rev. Myron Parkerson and Rev. Daniel Cook officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Mrs. Moore was born November 22, 1943 to the late Louise Durden and Warren Taylor. She was proud to be a charter member of Freedom Worship Center. Mrs. Taylor had a long and vibrant career as a Medical Office Manager for several local physicians. She began her career by volunteering at Dodge County Hospital as a Pink Lady. Afterwards, she went to work for Dr. Javid Sayeed in the late 1970’s as office manager. She was a dedicated advocate for elderly patients and helped them obtain benefits and services. She was instrumental in helping new doctors open their practices in Eastman. She retired at the age of 60 after 20 years of service with Dr. Mark Griffis. Her greatest passion was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching the kids grow and play from the front porch. She was loved by many and her legacy will carry on her love, wisdom, and memory forever.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters, Decarla Morgan (Grant), Gina Coleman (Dennis Price); her grandchildren, Harley Morgan (Carey), Lila Gingrich (Chad), Cassidy Miller (Aaron), and Hunter Price; her great grandchildren, Jax Morgan, Grant Morgan, Lane Morgan, and Harper Miller; her sister, Merle Nelson; her aunt, Selma Grimes; and special friends, Shirley Sheffield, Ann Wright, and Mary Rogers.
