Mrs. Ruth Stevens Murkerson, age 100, of Eastman died Monday, September 25, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Murkerson was born in Dodge County November 9, 1916 to parents Madge Wilson and Thomas E. Stevens. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a devout Christian and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.
She is survived by daughters, Madgelene Bates of Cochran, Ga. and Shelby Jean Roland of Tampa, Fl.; five grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and fourteen great great grandchildren.
The family will be at her residence, 2326 Airport Road, Eastman, Ga.
