Mr. Roy Merlyn Braswell, age 74, of Eastman died Monday, July 25, 2022 at Fairview Park Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Braswell was born January 16, 1948 in Albany, Georgia to the late Lizzie Mae Joiner and L.D. Braswell Sr. He graduated from Albany High School and joined the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. After serving in the Navy, he attended College and received a degree in Theology. He later worked for Potter Motor Company in Albany.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Edith Braswell of Eastman; stepdaughter, Penny Bragg (James) of Moultrie, Georgia; siblings, L.D. Braswell Jr. (Jenny) and Judy Burnham; grandchildren, Nikki Germany, Joni Germany, Steven Hatcher, David Sizemore, and Cameron Sizemore; brother-in-law, Glenn Coody.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepdaughter, Glenda Sizemore.
