Richard Kittrell Gully, age 76, of Woodstock, Ga., formerly of Eastman, surrounded by family went to be with the Lord Tuesday June 27, 2017.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday July 1, 2017 from Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the funeral hour.
A native of Meridian, MS., Richard was a proud graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. After a long and successful career, he enjoyed retirement to the fullest. He loved spending time with his wife of 41 years and his nine grandchildren. He truly had a servant's heart, devoting much of his time to The Gideons International, ministering within the Cobb County prison system, and teaching at Wildwood Baptist.
Mr. Gully is survived by his wife, Gail Gully, Woodstock, GA.; sons, Richard Gully, Jr., Greenville, SC, Brandt (Cheryl) Gully, Marietta, GA, Todd (Tina) Lewis, Washington, GA, David Lewis, Marietta, GA, daughter; Cheryl (Rob) McCrorey, Huntersville, NC, grandchildren; Richard Gully III, Thomas Gully, Emma Gully, Carolyn McCrorey, Peyton Gully, Anna Gully, Samantha Gully, Camille Lewis and Will Lewis; mother-in-law, Odelle Faircloth, Eastman, Ga.; brothers-in-law, Phillip Faircloth (Lynne), Dublin, Ga. and Randy Faircloth (Louise), Eastman, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to Gideons International.
