Obituary

Mr. Razell Spires, age 79, of Milan died October 14, 2020 in a tragic accident. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Milan Baptist Church with Rev. Aubrey Corbitt and Bro. Roswell Chapman officiating. The family will receive visitors at the residence of his daughter, Brenda Walker, at 447 Walker Road, Milan, GA 31060. Mr. Spires was born February 10, 1941 in Telfair County to the late Jerry Lester Spires and Mary Lou Selph Spires. He was a member of Milan Baptist Church. Mr. Spires was a talented carpenter, handyman, and entrepreneur. He is also a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Spires is survived by his children, Brenda Walker, Glenda Mckinney (Randy), Max Spires (Janet), Teresa Spires, Pam Barnard (Phillip), Daniel Spires (Melissa), and Joey Spires (Nikki); grandchildren, Carla Alligood, Eddie Walker, Brandi Braswell, Joshua Lee Spires, Shannon Spires, Dakota Spires, Cindy Singletary, Austin Griffin, Jacob Bryant, Blake Bryant, Cullen Barnard, Shannon Miller, Chris Barnard, Joshua Lamar Spires, Brandon Spires, Hunter Spires, Alyssa Spires, and Nickolas Spires; and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Buddy Spires; and sisters, Linda Faye Harrell, and Sue Jean Stonecypher.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by Ruby Yawn Spires; one great-grandchild, Bentley Lamar Spires; brothers, Ronnie Spires, Kenny Spires, and Wayne Spires; sisters, Vernell Johnson, and Bonnie Giles.
