Mrs. Patsy C. Thomas, age 78, of Chauncey, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Hardy – Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Thomas was born on July 5, 1947 to the late ChristineSanders and Hayward Cranford. She was a member at New Union Baptist Church. She had a long and successful career in the Georgia Department of Corrections and served as the Warden of the Dodge Correctional Institution until her retirement. She also loved online shopping. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Thomas; her son, Ben Thomas (Betsy); grandchildren, Taylor Thomas and Jessie Thomas; siblings, Tommy Cranford (Wanda) and Mary Cranford Stephenson (Danny).
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thomas is predeceased by her son, Pete Thomas as well as an infant sister.
