Mr. Frank Jones, age 92, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 2 pm at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Rev. Doug Stevens officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private committal service, with Military Honors, will follow at New Union Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church and Korean War Veteran. He retired from Georgia Veterans Service and served as Superior Court Bailiff for 18 years. He was a former member of Jaycees and was American Legion Past Commander Post 126. He was a 1947 graduate of Chauncey High School. He was a Recipient Lieutenant Colonel, Aide DeCamp, Governor's Staff. He liked to travel and eat at Red Lobster. He also loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Judi Jones Kirkley (Madison), Mitchell Franklin Jones (Ellen), and Dr. Andrea Jones Williams (Andy); his grandchildren Eddie Pope (Emily), Kelsey Claire Jones, Brooks Cameron Jones (Candi); his great-grandchildren Ellisa Lee Pope and Scarlett May Jones; and nephew Jay Jones.
Mr. Jones is predeceased by parents Andrew Jackson Jones and Alice Burch Jones, as well as his brother Jackson Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International or New Union Cemetery Fund.
