Mrs. Nellie Green Purvis, age 91, of Eastman died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Bryant Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Sr. Pastor Glenn Purvis, Pastor Brent Lewis, and Pastor Dayrl Robinson officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 til 8, Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
Mrs. Purvis was born June 26, 1923 in Wrightsville, Ga to the late Tom and Bessie Hinson Green. She was a member of Truth Tabernacle, and retired from C&J Manufacturing.
She is survived by daughters, Wynell Hulett (Austin) of Ft. Valley, Ga. and Margaret Piper (James) of Eastman; sons, Henry Leon Purvis (Wilma) of Macon and Glenn Purvis (Gail) of Mansfield, Ga; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Purvis was predeceased by her husband, H.M. (Ken) Purvis, five sisters, and two brothers.
Those serving as pallbearers are Jonathon Piper, Mike Purvis, Chris Purvis, Jeremy Robinson, Daniel Madrigal, and Jamie Purvis.
The family will be at the home of Margaret and James Piper, 105 Lantie Dr., Eastman, Ga 31023
