Mr. John Milton Harrison, age 79, of Eastman died Friday, July, 15, 2011 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Peele officiating. Interment will follow in Orphans Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 til 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Harrison was born July 19, 1931 to Lila Medlin and Rev. Alex Harrison. He served two tours in the US Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Mercer Law School in 1960. In May 1963 he moved to Eastman and was still advising clients a few weeks prior to his death.
He is survived by his son, Corbin N. Harrison; former wife, Sandra Harrison; siblings, Helen Johnson, Joe A. Harrison (Maggie), Roberly Jacobson (David), Delmar Harrison (Diana), Billy Ray Harrison (Evelyn), Deborah Lou Herd (John), and Bruce Harrison (Rachel); nieces and nephews including Steven Harrison and cousin, Lynn McDuffie, who was his caregiver.
