Mrs. Merle Ross Stevenson "Granny Merle", age 89, of Eastman died Thursday, June 2, 2016 at The Dodge County Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Hardy-Towns Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stevenson was born February 28, 1927 in Cochran, Georgia to the late Della Bradley Ross and Albert Ross. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and retired from The Dodge County Hospital.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister survived by daughters, Sherri Holland (Bob) and Patti Branch (Phillip) both of Eastman; brother, A. L. Ross (Carol) of Griffin, Ga.; grandchildren, Rhett Walker (Glenda), Eric Walker (Dana), Clint Pinnell, and Craig Pinnell; great grandchildren, Luke Walker, Georgia Shae Walker, Kadee Walker, Ella Walker, and Mary Blaire Pinnell.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Ruth McDaniel, Allene Brown, Jo Harrell, Emmett Ross, Leonard Ross, and Jim Ross.
The family can be reached at the home of Sherri and Bob Holland, 5807 Pine Street, Eastman, Ga. and will receive friends Saturday from 1 til 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
