Mrs. Mary Alice Mullis, age 99, of Cadwell, Georgia died Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 til 11 a.m. in the church social hall.
Mrs. Mullis was born September 24, 1922 in Cadwell, Georgia to the late Mary Register and Walter Knight Sr. She was the oldest member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was employed at Stuckey's Candy Company for 25 years as a floor supervisor. Mrs. Mullis was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, going to yard sales, auctions, and flea markets collecting vintage linen, small pitchers and ceramic cats.
She is survived by her son, Steve Mullis Sr. (Judy); foster son, James Ed Gay; grandsons, Jeff Mims and Steve Mullis Jr. (Lauresa); great grandchildren, Evan Mullis and Emma Mullis; grand daughter-in-law, Rose Mims.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Pat Mullis, daughter and son-in-law, Linda Mims and Eugene Mims, grandson, David Mims, siblings, C.W. Knight, Wilson Knight, Walter Knight Jr., Ollie Mae Register, and Eloise Hudson.
