Mary Brown Gunn Coffee, age 98, of Macon died on Saturday, October 8, 2011, surrounded by family. Mrs. Coffee was born in Monticello and lived most of her life in Eastman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Mitchell Coffee.
Mrs. Coffee is survived by her daughter, Patricia Coffee Brewer of Macon, her son L. Mitchell Coffee, Jr (Susan) of Eastman; five grandchildren, Mary Brown Brewer Sandys (Duncan), Miles Ashley Brewer III (Jodi), L. Mitchell Coffee III (Kendra), Evelyn Brewer Green (Huston), and Charlotte Harrington Coffee. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A reception celebrating her life will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Mitchell Coffee, Jr., on Sunday, October 9 at 5:00p.m. Graveside services will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Eastman on Monday, October 10 at 11:00a.m. followed by a memorial service at Carlyle Place, located at 5300 Zebulon Road in Macon, at 4:00p.m.
