Mrs. Madeline S. Horne, age 91, of Eastman died Monday, February 1, 2016.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Horne was born September 1, 1924 in Dodge County to the late Lula Mae Adams and Monroe Singletary. She was the widow of Vernon Horne. She was of the Baptist faith and former manager of Dollar General. She also worked at Hilltop Grocery. Mrs. Horne enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Drury (Burrell); sons, Ray Horne (Doreen) and Cary Horne (Bessie Jean); grandchildren, Charles Glisson (Mary), Cathy Atkinson (Mark), Pam Evans (Cleve), Amy Yawn (Tracey), Christy Wynn (Ian), Cindi Horne, Brittany Leanne Piper (Justin); ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Melba Jean Barlow.
Those serving as pallbearers are Shorty Bearden, Lawrence Rogers, C.B. Branch, Ian Wynn, Jeff Horne, Mike Horne, Mark Atkinson, and Cleve Evans.
