Mr. Johnny Thompson, age 78, of Eastman, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be held at Giddens-Harrell Cemetery on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.

Mr. Thompson was born January 24, 1948 to the late Myrtice Oxley and Lamar Thompson. He retired from Ocmulgee EMC and enjoyed fishing, playing cards, farming, and raising cattle.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his daughters, Angie Boston (Troy), April Strickland (Kevin), Pam Evans (Cleve), and Amy Yawn; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Boston, Sam Boston, Gracee McMillen (Harry), Dylan Strickland, Summer Vickery, Jordan Yawn, and Dalton Evans (Camryn); his great-grandchildren, Sailor Rose Vickery, and Case Evans; and his sister, JoAnn Thompson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Thompson is predeceased by his wife, Linda Register Thompson; and his granddaughter, Harlee Rae Strickland.
