Mr. Johnny Peacock, age 75, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023.
Funeral services will be held November 11, 2023 at 3:00 pm at the Hardy- Towns Funeral Home Chapel. A private committal will follow. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Mr. Peacock had 30-year career in management at Robins Air Force Base. He also displayed an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoyed success in several business pursuits.
He was never happier than when he had a fishing pole in his hand especially when sharing the moment with his family and friends. The times he loved most were spent with his 3 beloved grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He always had a joke to tell or a funny story to share.
He was a lifelong resident of Eastman, Georgia where he served as a deacon at Bethlehem Baptist Church. He loved his church family and his community. He will be sorely missed by all.
Mr. Peacock is survived by his wife of 56 wonderful years, Linda Gayle Peacock; daughter, Marcie L. Peacock; grandchildren, Chelsie Fountain, Ryan Peacock (Malana), and Seth Peacock; brother, Dr. Walter Peacock (Donna); great grandchildren, Dawson, Alexis, Shelby, and Jayda Fountain; Demi, Ayla, Wyatt, and Charlie Peacock; and John Clyde and Cullin Peacock; brother-in-law, Mike Williamson and sister-in-law, Patti Moore; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Peacock is predeceased by parents, Bertha Taylor and Emmett Peacock; son, Darrin Peacock; brothers and sister, C.W. Peacock, Shaw Peacock, Paul Peacock, and Dorothy Shamblin; and in-laws, Nancy Williamson and Grayson Moore.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105. Remittance envelopes are available at the funeral home.
