Mr. John D. Woodard, age 62, of Eastman, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after courageously fighting a battle with ALS.
Funeral services will be at 2p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Gresston Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Cowles and Rev. Troy Dykes officiating. Interment will follow in Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Woodard was a member of Gresston Baptist Church and an avid supporter of the Georgia Southern football program. He was a businessman and enjoyed spending time on his farm.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Woodard; daughter, Keri Lee (Mark); sons, David Selph (April), Chris Woodard (Darcy), Jonathan Woodard (Amy), Hunter Munden; grandchildren, Timothy Selph, Kylie Selph, Wyatt Woodard; sister, Aurelia Hinton; brother, Gary Woodard.
He is predeceased by his parents, Willette Fordham and Vellie Woodard; son, Justin Woodard; brothers, George Woodard and Wilson Woodard.
