Mr. Jimmy Ray Ward, age 65, of Eastman, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 2p.m., Friday, July 19 at Hardy-Towns Chapel. Rev. Fred Parker, Rev. Rusty Stewart and Rev. Jim Ward will be officiating. Interment will be at Antioch #1 Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-9p.m at the Ward residence.
Mr. Ward was a retired farmer and avid horseman. He was also a member of Antioch #1 Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Yawn Ward; four daughters, Tonia Frost (Chris), Mandy Bennett (Robert), Crystal Ward, Tammy Smith (Chris); one son, Jim Ward (Cindy); sister, Johnnie Faye Graham (Wendell); mother-in-law, Margierene Yawn; nine grandchildren, Justin, Jarred, Halley, James, Jessie, Colman, Conner, Jordi, and Charleigh; sister-in-law, Mildred Ward; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Velma Ward, brother, Sonny Ward, and a grandchild, Jase Graham.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Gideons in memory of Mr. Ward.
