Mr. James V. Hendrix (Jimmy), age 71, died Thursday, August 22, 2013.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 25 at 3p.m. in Hardy-Towns Chapel with Dr. Donnie Sutton and Rev. Royce McClellan officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 til 8p.m.
Mr. Hendrix was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Baptist Church as well as a teacher of an adult Sunday School class. He was a longtime associate of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hendrix; four daughters, Rhonda Hendrix, Tonya Hendrix, Amanda Sheffield (Charles), and Jennifer Horton (Marvin); brother, Carl Hendrix (Willadene); nine grandchildren, Kyle Payne (Josie), Karli Tripp, Brittany Woodard, Blake Woodard, Brooke Woodard, Ashlyn Dominy, Jayden Bowen, Marleigh Horton, and Mason Horton.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hendrix is predeceased by his wife, Lutrelle Hendrix and brother, Bobby G. Hendrix.
