Mr. J.B. Lewis Jr., age 76, of Chester died Sunday, January 17, 2021 at The Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Graveside services will held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Gilmore and Rev. Sterling Averett officiating.
Mr. Lewis will lie in state at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
Mr. Lewis was born September 14, 1944 in Eastman to the late Mary Powell Lewis and J.B. Lewis. He was a member of Chester Baptist Church, a retired truck driver, carpenter and farmer.
He is survived by daughters, Michelle Robinson (Greg) and Buffy Burney (James); Uncles, Otis Powell and Franklin Lewis; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; cousin, Nora Jean Reaves (Mike) and special friends, Phyllis and Larry Sanders.
