Mr. James H. Jones Sr., age 77, of Eastman died Friday, September 8, 2023 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, September 11, 2023 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with military honors and Rev. Ben Maddox officiating. Tyler Austin will be soloist musician. Visitation will be Monday from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Jones was born November 18, 1945 in Eastman to the late Rubena Graham and Jack N. Jones. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Robins AFB. He was a farmer and loved working with animals.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura J. Thompson (Stephen), Donna Haney (Chris), Jennifer McLeod (John); one son, James H. Jones, Jr. (Tammy); siblings, Winnie Ruth Searcy (Ken), Cindy Hardy (Randy), John W. Jones (Patricia) and Floyd Booth Jr.; brother-in-law, Charles Maddox (Marilyn); ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren; longtime friends, Patricia Laidler (Rodney) and Jimmy Kersey; and canine companion, Abby.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lynette Maddox Jones.
