Mr. James Horne, age 72, of Eastman, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 11 a.m. in Hardy-Towns Chapel with Rev. James Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6 pm til 8 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Horne was of the Baptist faith and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He loved watching his grandchildren play softball. He also enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and raising his chickens.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nell Horne; daughters, Tina Wallner (Roland) of Smithfield, Va. and Nisi Haley (Shaun) of Eastman; Grandchildren, Wesley Wallner, Carson Wallner, Macey Haley, and Riley Haley; Siblings, Buford Horne (Jackie), Danny Horne (Michelle), and Shelby Faulk; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by parents, Lorene Brack Horne and Eugene Horne, siblings, Kenneth Horne, Edwin "Hoss" Horne, Jimmy Horne, Lanny Horne, and Shirley Williams.
Those serving as pallbearers are Randy Horne, Jason Horne, Cory Horne, Larry Whittington, Benji Smith, Dillard Pittman, and Mike Horne.
