Mr. James Crutchfield, age 80, of Eastman died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Wyzenski and Rev. Ken Rodgers officiating. Charlotte Miller is the pianist.
Visitation will be from 3 til 4p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Crutchfield was a member of Lovely Grove Baptist Church and retired from ITT Rayonier. He was an Air Force Veteran and served in The Korean Conflict. He was a former board member of The Dodge County Baptist Association and Christian Life Center.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Kirkpatrick (Dennis) of Cochran ; son, Jerry Crutchfield of Eastman; Grandchildren, Heath Kirkpatrick (Tiffany Tidwekk) of Ft. Gordon, Ga., Kylie Wunsch (Doug) of Macon, and Jennifer Crutchfield of Germany; three great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Junior Boutwell ( Betty), Eddie Boutwell (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Graham (Ray), and Betty Holland (Terry); dear friend, Elizabeth (Babe) Keller.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ludie Boutwell Crutchfield, parents, Mamie and Lyman Crutchfield , and sister, Susie Kemp.
Those serving as pallbearers are Earl Smith, Russell Smith, Wayne Tripp, Earl Boutwell, Scott Boutwell, and Josh Boutwell. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Spires, Marvin Scarborough, James Coleman, Jay Coleman, and Joey Coleman.
