Obituary

Mrs. Ann Harriett Lee Stuckey, age 93, of Rhine, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at home with family by her side. A visitation will be held at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Rhine Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with Ben Waller officiating. Interment will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery in Rhine.
Mrs. Stuckey was born on June 24, 1932, in Atmore, Alabama to the late Harry and Martha Peterson Lee. After the passing of Harry Lee, Harriett and Martha moved back to Rhine. Martha later married John Daniel Womble who raised Harriet as his own. Harriett married Walter Barron (Brother) Stuckey on July 11, 1947. Harriet had numerous jobs outside the home but her first priority was raising her children. Harriett and Brother started a trucking company called Stuckey Truck Line early in their marriage. They also opened a grocery store. Harriett worked at the Head Start in Rhine, GA. She was an agent for Liberty National Insurance. The most memorable place she ran was The Café where she cooked hamburgers, steaks, and hand-churned ice cream. Brother and Harriett also ran Stuckey Truck and Car Sales later in life. Harriett was a faithful member of Rhine Baptist Church and was a pillar of the community. She is fondly remembered for her candied apples that she would take to the schools. She was founding member of the Pondtown Festival and was involved for many years.
Harriett is survived by her children', Lee (Gail) Stuckey, Rocky (Carmen) Stuckey, Dana (Vicki) Stuckey, and Sherry (Steve) Mincey; Grandchildren, Shane (Stacey) Stuckey, April (Kelly) Moore, Ginger (Keith) McCranie, Sandy (Jeremy) Bland, Noel (Wil) Tripp, Sunny (Kalon) Graham, Jamie (Travis) Stuckey, Roxan (Jason) Webster, Chandler Stuckey, and Noah Mincey; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Cannon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her faithful caregiver, Pauline Nichols; and special son, Tommy Lee Facison.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Walter Barron Stuckey; her two sons Ted Stuckey and Clay Stuckey; her great-grandson, Morgan Sheffield. Her sister-in-law, Sarah Stuckey Bowen; and her aunt Willie Chappell.
