Mr. Gregory Scott Giddens, age 51, of Eastman died Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Peele officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Giddens was originally from Atlanta, but had lived in Eastman for the last several years. He was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and secretary of the Common Ground Sunday School Class. He was an avid soccer player and a 1993 graduate of Georgia State University.
He is survived by children, Loren Giddens and Lonnie Scott Giddens, both of Athens; Mother, Ann Messmore of Atlanta.; father, Bob "Sonny" Giddens of Eastman; grandmother, Viola Yarley of Eastman; brother, Joe Giddens of Atlanta; nephew, Eli Giddens.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to The First Baptist Church Building Fund.
