Mr. Gerry Wayne Ragan, age 77, of Eastman died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Ragan was born August 22, 1943 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Gladys Scarborough Ragan and Willie W. Ragan.
He was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church, an Eagle Scout, and graduated from Dodge County High School in 1961, He then attended Stetson University and graduated from The University of Georgia. In 1965 he joined the United States Navy and served several years before transferring to the Reserves. He loved to travel and visited many exotic places.
He is survived by cousins, Celeste Edwards Furr (Richard), Mitzi Edwards Smiley (Jim), Lindsey Smiley Shumpert (John David), and Blake E. Smiley.
