Mrs. Geraldine Roland, age 90, of Powder Springs, GA passed away peacefully with family by her side Thursday morning, October 28, 2021 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30 at 3 pm in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Lee and Brandon Roland officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to service from 1-3pm.
Mrs. Roland was born December 5, 1930, in Eastman, GA to the late Pauline and Dillard Skipper. She was happily married to Charles Roland for over 50 years and had two children together. She was guided by her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Massingill (Bobby) of Powder Springs; grandchildren, Kale Roland (Jen) of MacClenny, FL, Ron Roland (Jennifer) of Eastman, Biff Massingill (Crystal) of Marietta, Brent Massingill (Brittany) of Powder Springs; sister, Barbara Rogers (Bobby) of Marietta; sisters-in-law, Shelby Skipper and Vivian Skipper. Geraldine also leaves eleven great-grandchildren and many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Roland; son, Kenneth Dale Roland, and brothers, Dillard and Maloy Skipper.
