Mrs. Geraldine Tripp Coody, age 83, of Hawkinsville died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Pinewood Retirement Villa.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Rev. Mike Scarborough officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Coody was born September 28, 1932 in Dodge County to the late Vera Thompson Tripp and Ernest Tripp. She was a member of Limestone Baptist Church and a retired school bus driver.
She is survived by sons, Jimmy Davis of Flowery Branch, Ga, Tony Davis (Audrey) of Eastman, and Danny Davis of Milledgeville, Ga.; siblings, Earl Ray Tripp (Patsy), Jackie Tripp, Sam Tripp (Shannon), Glenda Williams, and Carolyn Grissom; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husbands, Franklin Davis and Charles Coody; infant daughter, Gina Davis; siblings, Maxine Grinstead, Hilda Scarborough, and Junior Tripp.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Alzheimer's Association, Central Georgia Chapter, 866 Mulberry St., Macon, Ga 31201.
The family will be at the residence of Tony and Audrey Davis, 183 Northlakes Dr., Eastman, Ga 31023.
