Mr. Forrest Woodard, age 76, of Eastman died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Carl Vinson Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be at 11 A.M Saturday, October 9, 2021 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Crosby officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 a.m.
Forrest was born December 5, 1944 in Eastman to the late Sara Lou Grant Woodard and Wilton Woodard. Mr. Woodard was of the Baptist Faith. He formerly worked with Dodge Heating and Air and retired as 911 Director. He was a 1962 graduate of Dodge County High School, after which he served in The United States Marine Corp and was a Vietnam Veteran. As most everyone knows, he was a HUGE Georgia Bulldog fan and a supporter of all Dodge County Indian sports. He served for several years as statistician for the Indians.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Woodard; children, Shane Woodard (Erin), Kit Brown (David), Kaysi Woodard (James), Lori Blount (Tom), and Michelle Gray (Bodie); siblings, Wilma Slye (Bobby) and Grant Woodard (Connie); grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Claudia Brown, John Blount, Candice Blount (Chuck), Spencer Butler, Jordy Gray (Teresa), Brooks Gray (Lauren). Four great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews also survived.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, Kevin Slye.
