Mrs. Emogene Walker Taylor, age 82, of Eastman died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Dogwood Gardens.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at The Eastman First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 4 til 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Taylor was born March 15, 1936 in Eastman to the late H.M. and Vara Coleman Walker. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church where she was very active in the music department and a retired school teacher from the Dodge County Board of Education.
She is survived by her children, Rae Spradley (Neil) of Eastman, Ga. and Joe Taylor Jr. (Hayley) of Statham, Ga.; grandchildren, Walker Spradley, Neil Perry Spradley, Duncan Taylor, and Emma Taylor; brother, Cleslie Walker (Donna).
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by husband, Joe D. Taylor Sr.; Son, Vince Taylor and sister, Eloise Walker.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to The Vince Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Eastman First Baptist Church, Oak St., Eastman, Ga 31023.
