Mrs. Elva Rouse, age 94, of Eastman died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Eastman First Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church social hall.
Mrs. Rouse was born in Wayne County and lived the past 65 years in Eastman. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leonard Rouse; daughters, Lynn Timmer and Catherine Harrington (Scooter); son, Alan Rouse (Maureen); grandchildren, Mike Rouse (Holly), Bryan Rouse, Shawn Rouse, Alana Bryant, Christi Brownlow, Bobby Rouse, Stephen Rouse, Alysa Rouse, Jimmy Carroll, Candi Carroll, Casey Cook (Bissy), Wil Harrington (Melia), and Ellen Harrington; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Meric Rouse.
