Elva Gomillion, age 91, of Eastman died Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Peele officiating.
Miss Gomillion was born in Jay, Florida June 6, 1922. After suffering with Scarlet Fever as a child and graduated from high school she, along with her sister moved to Andalusia, Alabama and worked as a telephone operator. In 1955 she moved to Pensacola, Fl. and worked as a receptionist for Merrill Lynch. She later moved to Eastman with her sister, Ruth Sheffield where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also very active in the Pilot Club of Eastman.
