Mr. Edward Mincey, age 86, of Eastman passed away Friday, May 8, 2020 at his home.
Private Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 11, 2020.
Mr. Mincey was born November 8, 1933 in Baxley, Georgia to the late Alma Dubberly Mincey and Dock Mincey. He was a member and deacon at Lovely Grove Baptist Church, a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served on the USS Hickory. He was retired from Robins AFB and was bus driver for Middle Georgia College Athletics. He loved fishing, farming, and family reunions.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janet Desrosiers Mincey; children, Donna Cannon (Ronnie), Steve Mincey (Sherry), and Arleen Eberling (Ricky); siblings, Carroll Mincey (Linda), Shirley Hester, Wanda Rogers (Gene), and Faye Herrington (Tommy); daughter-in-law, Laurie Mincey;
Grandchildren, Chad Cannon (Shannon), Erica Cannon, Colby Mincey (Amber), Aleah Mincey, Magan Sheffield (Matt), Micah Barrow (Jamie), Arron Bracewell, Alec Bracewell, and Noah Mincey; eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by children, Tony Edward Mincey, Nancy Jane Mincey, and Mary Ann Mincey and siblings, Bobbie Jean Curry, Gene Mincey, and Wendall "Buzz" Mincey.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Lovely Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
