Mrs. Dorothy Jan Woodard, age 70, of Eastman died Monday, June 21, 2021 at Bryant Nursing Home in Cochran.
Graveside services will held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at New Union Cemetery with Rev. Todd Crosby officiating.
Mrs. Woodard was born December 11, 1950 in Atlanta to the late Grace and Paul Newton. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and a member of the choir, retired administrative secretary from Anchor Glass. She formally sang with the Gospel Group, "Christian Hearald" and loved arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Willard Woodard of Eastman; son, Joel Johnson of Atlanta; step-children, Tony Woodard (Brooke) of Marietta, Ga. and Tina Rogers (Jody) of Eastman; brothers, Ken Newton (Jackie) and Paul Newton (Jean); grandchildren, Malaki Johnson, Caroline Woodard, Ben Woodard, Jason Woodard, Laurn Watson, and Leslie Watson.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Michael Newton.
