Mrs. Deborah Kay Daniels Bennett, age 67, of Ivey, Georgia, formerly of Eastman and Brunswick, Georgia passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, January 29, 2024.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home with Rev. Dahl McDermitt officiating. Visitation will be from 1 til 2 p.m at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Eastman, Georgia on September 7, 1956 to the late Helen G. Daniels and John E. (Doc) Daniels. She was the widow of the late Larry Steven Bennett. She was also predeceased by her daughter Lara Bennett and her older sister Joan Douglas. After marriage to Larry they moved to Brunswick, Georgia. Deborah worked for years as a radio operator with the Georgia State Patrol and then transferred to Driver's License Department. She retired with the Department of Drivers Services. After retirement she enjoyed the company of her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son, Stephen C. Bennett (Stacy Larson) and her grandchildren Rebecca Kate Bennett and Katie Lynne Bennett and brothers John J (Joe) Daniels (Teresa) and Jeffery David Daniels (Darla), as well as several nieces and nephews, along with her longtime best friend and Georgia Bulldog loving cohort Ruby (RueRue) Lynne Simpson.
