Mr. David O. Skipper of Chauncey, Georgia, age 64, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at Emory University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in the chapel at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home at 11:00 am with Rev. James Fennell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Skipper was born on June 14, 1961 in McRae, Georgia to Evelyn Taylor Skipper and the late Rev. W.R. "Dub" Skipper. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School in the class of 1981. David enjoyed football, baseball, basketball, softball and attending races. While David enjoyed solitude, he also had a great love of being with friends. Every morning, he enjoyed watching Robert Jeffrees and Dr. David Jeremiah on television. He was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian.
Mr. Skipper is survived by his mother, Evelyn Taylor Skipper; his sister, Lisa Skipper; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his father, David is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ottrell and Doris Smith Skipper; his maternal grandparents, Ruben Wesley "Rube" Taylor and Alice Asbell Taylor; as well as several aunts and uncles.
