Mrs. Christine Dennis, age 93, of Eastman died Saturday, September 14, 2013 in The Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Rev. Royce Vaughn and Rev. Mike Grenade officiating. Musicians will be Beverly McCranie and Ann Tanner. Interment will follow in Ryals Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dennis was a member of Rock Branch Baptist Church, a longtime volunteer at The Senior Citizens Center and a former employee of Stuckey's Candy Company.
She is survived by daughter, Mary Jo Phillips (Dene) of Chauncey; sons, Pete Dennis (JoAnn) of Chauncey and Don Dennis (Kay) of Dublin; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Dennis the daughter of the late Lessie Dominy and Joe Beck and widow of Frank W. Dennis was predeceased by children, Winston lamar "Nap" Dennis, Paul Dennis, and Shirley Howell.
Those serving as pallbearers are Randy Dennis, Robert Evans, Joey Dennis, Mark Dennis, Tim Mullis, and Billy Kemp.
