Mr. Charles "Buddy" Pittman, age 76, died Saturday, December 25, 2021, at Dodge County Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 in the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Gresston Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Pittman was born November 25, 1945 in Dodge County to the late Eva Noles and Charlie A. Pittman. He was a member of Gresston Baptist Church and owner of Pittman's Grocery in Gresston. He was a former school board member, Dodge County Hospital board member, Dodge County Road Department superintendent, and President of the Gresston Fire Department. He served on the Ocmulgee Membership Corporation Board for over 40 years as well as the Georgia EMC Board.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Terry (Donnie); son, Chuck Pittman; stepchildren, Regie Jones (Amy), Randy Jones, and Tonya Little (Tommy); grandchildren, Josh Terry and Jessi Collins (Justin); step-grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Brett Nobles, Blake Nobles. Skylar Little, Brooke Little, and Robert Stone; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Ward and Betty Dempsey (John).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Jackie Myers Pittman; sisters, Jean Moore and Louise Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
