Mrs. Catherine Cravey Taylor, age 76, of Milan, Ga., died Saturday, September 20, 2014 at The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Hardy-Towns Chapel with Grandson, Blake Rogers, Rev. Bobby Joe Ryals, and Rev. Al Daniel officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 til 8 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2014 at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 3, 1938 in Telfair County to the late Max L. and Ruby Sheperd Cravey. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and a retired childcare provider.
She is survived by children, Wayne Taylor ( Camille), Machell Rogers (Albert), and Stan Taylor; siblings, Mary Hill Marchant, John Robert Cravey (Susie), Eugenia Gore, Margaret McCulloch, and Lamar Cravey (Jerry); grandchildren, Wendy Ray, Christy Williams, Elizabeth Layfield-Stubbs, Don Taylor (Casey), Jenna Williams (Henry), Brian Taylor, Clint Taylor, Jud Taylor, Blake Rogers (Abigail), Kayla Rogers, Luke Rogers, Canan Rogers, Chloe Rogers, Nolan Rogers, Nate Rogers, Gracelyn Rogers, and Addilyn Rogers; great grandchildren, Halie Taylor, Cassie Taylor, Max Taylor, Dawson Taylor, Kate Williams, Liam Ray, and River Wilson.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her husband, Bobby D. Taylor; son, Don Taylor and daughter, Jan Layfield.
Those serving as pallbearers are Clint Taylor, Jud Taylor, Don Taylor, Brian Taylor, Blake Rogers, and Henry Williams.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to Gideons International, Orphans Fund at Eastman First Baptist Church, or St. Judes Children Hospital.
