Obituary

Mr. Carlisle Minter, age 89, of Eastman died Saturday, February 4, 2012.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 6 at 2p.m. at Eastman First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rick Mitchell officiating.
The family will receive friends and family following the service.
Mr. Minter was an Eastman High School graduate of 1939, Mercer School of Law graduate of 1950, World War II veteran, former corporate attorney for Stuckey's , as well as a franchisee of Stuckey's. He was a faithful member of Eastman First United Methodist Church and Tom Oliver Sunday School class. Mr. Minter was a Shriner and former member of the American Bar Association, American Legion, Lion's Club, and Eugene Smith Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Minter, son of Chester L. Minter, Sr. and Bessie H. Minter, is survived by his wife, Elizabeth K. Minter; daughter, Faye Edenfield (Billy); son, Jay Thompson; three grandchildren, Brigette Lee, Christi Champion (James), and Diana Hamilton; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, C.L. Minter, Jr., J.H. Minter, Ernest Minter, and Jack Minter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eastman First United Methodist Church in his memory.
