Mr. John R. "Bobby" Maddox, age 84, of Chauncey, Georgia died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Dodge County Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2022 at the chapel of Hardy-Towns Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Orphans Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Maddox was born March 7, 1938 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Addie Lee Jones and H.M. Maddox. He was of the Baptist Faith, a United States Navy Veteran and retired from Robins Air Force Base, after which, he was a security guard at Middle Georgia College. He loved flea markets and yard sales.
He is survived by daughters, Charlotte Peacock and Ann Bohannon; one sister, Sarah White; grandchildren, Jennifer Peacock, Rusty Peacock (Ashtein), Crystal Jones (Bobby), Tiffany McAliley (Adam), Michelle Hardy (Bryan), and Jessica Bennett (Brian); twenty-four graeat grandchildren; canine companions, Troy, Rob, Radar, and Snoopy.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Buck Maddox, granddaughter, Lisa Maddox, and brothers, Buddy Maddox and Claude Maddox.
