Anne Bledsoe Pinnell, age 91, of 1845 Nellieville Road, Vienna, formerly of Eastman, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Pruitt Health-Brookhaven in Atlanta.
In addition to services in Vienna, Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Orphans Cemetery.
She was born on November 16, 1928 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Joseph Emmett Bledsoe and Margaret Louisa Bryan Bledsoe. She was a graduate of Eastman High School and Andrew College in Cuthbert. Mrs. Pinnell started her working career with Stuckey's, but most of her working years, she worked at Eastman Cotton Mill (Reeves Brothers Cotton Mill). When Reeves Brothers Cotton Mill closed, she worked at Lithonia Lighting in Cochran until she retired. After spending most of her in Eastman, she moved to Vienna in 2006 to be near her daughter. She was an active member of Eastman First United Methodist Church and Vienna United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Davis (Jeff) of Vienna; sister, Gwendolyn Bledsoe Henderson of Decatur; grandsons, Eddie Davis (Nicole) of Grayson and Jonathon Wright (Lonna) of Milan; granddaughters, Mandy Blalock (Will) of Colbert and Casie Davis of Atlanta; great grandchildren, Ayden Davis, Emmalyn Wright, Davis Blalock, and Sarah Wright.
She was predeceased by her husband, William O. Pinnell Jr. ,her daughter, Paula Pinnell Wright, and sister Juanita Bledsoe Jarrard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Vienna United Methodist Church, 205 North Sixth Street, Vienna, Ga 31092. The family will greet friends 5 til 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be made to the building fund of Vienna United Methodist Church.
