Mrs. Anita Hooks Evans, age 84, of Eastman died Thursday, June 22, 2017 at The Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 til 8 Friday, June 23, 2017 at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans was born July 30, 1932 in Dodge County to the late parents, Dora Mae White Hooks and James William Hooks. She was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from Reeves Brothers Cotton Mill.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Lane (Mickey) of Eastman and Carol Elaine Earnest of Warner Robins; son Carl Evans (Brenda) of Eastman; sister, Dena Payne of Eastman; Grandchildren, Wes Evans, Wendy Rogers (Ken), Keeli Wadley (Scott), Jenna Evans, Carla Hernandez (Hector), Gina Coleman (Mike), Marc Lane, Ashley Peacock (Lee); fifteen great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Joseph Edward Evans; son, Billy Evans; grandson, Matthew Earnest; son-in-law, Stewart Earnest; and seven siblings.
The family will be at the home of Marilyn and Mickey Lane, 2766 Chester Highway, Eastman, Ga.
