Mr. William "Bill" Henry Tripp passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Funeral services for Mr. Tripp will be held at Gresston Baptist Church on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Darryl Roberts and Rev. Dwayne Burney officiating. A committal will follow at Gresston Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Beaver officiating. A visitation will be held at Hardy-Towns Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
Mr. Tripp was raised in the Gresston Community and was a member of Gresston Baptist Church. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He also retired from Anchor Glass Company in Warner Robins after a 25 year career. In his leisure time, Mr. Tripp loved riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and watching his grandchildren grow.
Mr. Tripp is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Debra Mullis Tripp; his children, Amanda Tripp Harding, Robert Tripp, William Uley Tripp (Ashley), Rebecca Tripp Watson (Ben); and by his fourteen grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Darryl Roberts (Delynn), Robby Ray Tripp, Barbara Rhodes Evans; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his faithful canine companion, Beau.
Mr. Tripp was predeceased by his parents, Uley Tripp and Opal Tripp Rhodes, his stepfather Malvin Rhodes; as well as his siblings, Kay Tripp Tanner, Sandra Rhodes Walker, and John Rhodes.
